VBHVK Series Cryostats
The HVK series cryostats are primarily optimised for integration with our VBPM series dual bellows manipulators with a DDF63P rotation stage on top. For this reason they are supplied on a DN63CF flange. There are also two more compact options in the range for a smaller DN40CF flange, which due to their flange size offer less space for electrical feedthroughs. Finally two options include an additional motion axis within the cryostat which is usually used to actuate a secondary rotation within the sample stage.
Key Features
- UHV compatible, bakeout up to 230ºC
- Cryostat flanges 316LN, tube 316L stainless steel
- Cold head material: gold plated OFHC copper
- Pressure range 1 bar – 1×10-11 mbar
- The following feedthrough types can be specified with the cryostat up to the maximum number of available feedthrough flanges in the table below. Feedthroughs can be supplied with the associated vacuum-side wiring.
- Multi pin current feedthrough
- BNC / MHV / SHV feedthrough
- Type C or K thermocouple
- Additional options include
- Si Diode on the cold head
- Motorisation of the linear axis for HVK5
- Alternative travel of the linear axis for HVK5
- Rotary feedthrough instead of linear for HVK5
- Length adapted to suit manipulator
- All cryostats require a siphon to connect to the dewar which is ordered separately
