VBPHM series rotation / feedthrough assemblies with optional LN2 cooling
The PHM series feedthrough assemblies are designed to provide the motion axes to enable 4 or 5 axis motion on our VBPMK12, VBPM12 and VBPM25 series in applications where no cooling or liquid nitrogen cooling is required. If Helium cooling is required, please see our VBHVK series cryostats instead. They also include suitable feedthroughs to provide electrical connections to the sample stage, as well as optional liquid nitrogen cooling pipes and feedthroughs.

- Compatible with VBPMK12, VBPM12 and VBPM25 manipulators with all Z lengths
- Compatible with VB(U)HS sample stages for liquid nitrogen cooling and with no cooling depending on chosen option
- UHV compatible, bakeout up to 230ºC
- Cryostat flanges 316LN, tube and bellows 316L stainless steel
- Pressure range 1 bar – 1×10-11 mbar
- DN63CF or DN40CF mounting flange
- 38mm diameter in vacuum
- Rotation axis for 4th axis motion +/-181º with resolution 0.1º, transferrable torque 2Nm.
- Includes mechanical hard stop to limit rotary motion (+/-181º limit)

- Motorisation with Oriental PKP 268 MD 28B NEMA 23 / 2 Nm stepper motor
- Electrical limit switch for rotation axis (+/-181º limit)
- Optional 25mm or 50mm travel inner linear axis for 5th axis sample rotation. Resolution linear axis 0.01mm, transferrable force 20N. Shaft diameter 6mm.
- Liquid nitrogen cooling with 3/8″ VCR vacuum side connections
- Electrical feedthrough with 4,6 or 10 pins
- Single or dual thermocouple feedthrough
- BNC/MHV/SHV feedthrough
